You’re deeply concerned about community and justice issues. You have training in law enforcement, criminal justice, public safety or paralegal skills – and you’re ready to be more effective and employable as a problem solver and change agent. AULA’s Urban Communities and Justice major prepares you to understand your environment in new ways so you can make a difference using a combination of local expertise with broader perspectives. In this program, you’ll explore how oppression, privilege, discrimination, and social and economic disadvantage impact our justice system, gain critical thinking and ethical decision making awareness, and develop leadership strategies to work on social issues within a professional context.
